Rocklin, Calif. - William Jessup University coach Parker Daniels announced the signing of David Cummings for the 2010-11 cross country and track teams.
Cummings, a native of Rocklin, will come to Jessup after an outstanding career at Rocklin High School. He ran a 16:56 at the CIF Cross Country State Championships in Fresno for the Thunder this past season. David has earned the Travis Williams Award, Coaches Award and Sportsmanship Award for cross country.
“William Jessup offers the opportunity for me to be challenged in all aspects of my life,” stated Cummings. “The school community and team are a joy to be around and I look forward to building lasting relationships with everyone I meet.”
Head coach Parker Daniels believes David will make a great impact on the WJU Campus.
“David is going to be an amazing fit for WJU and a key runner for the future of the Warriors running teams. He brings so much to the table as a student athlete and I look forward to seeing him excel through the next four years.”
