On July 27th, Esther Howell will be turning 101 years old. A graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University in 1931 and a retired home economics teacher, Esther currently resides at Graham Court Villa in Rocklin were she is cherished and loved by everyone. She was a long time resident of Palm Desert, but moved to Rocklin over a year ago when her 80 year old caregiver decided to retire.

Meeting Esther, you would never guess that she is about to turn 101. Not only does she have a caring and gently demeanor, but also has a smile that could brighten any room. One thing you need to know about Esther is that she can throw! Give her a ball or a bean bag, and she can toss that item like a pitcher could toss a baseball.

Esther was an active member in her church and community. She loved playing golf, but now enjoys watching golf on the golf channel. She looks forward to her many visits from her niece and husband, Gwen and Mike Smith of Roseville.

A Luau will be held this Saturday where many friends and families from out of town will be coming to celebrate her 101st birthday.
