The Senate on Wednesday approved legislation that requires agencies to identify and recover an estimated $100 billion in taxpayer funds lost annually because of improper payments. The President signed the bill today to cut in half, over the next few years, the yearly $100,000,000.000 in fraudulent and erroneous payments made by Government agencies.

$100,000,000,000. That’s your and my tax money. It’s greater than the GDP of most countries, and they think they need a new law to take care of this problem. The fact that this was going on for years should be the basis for firing Congress and replacing them with people who have at least a little business knowledge and experience. Can you imagine IBM or HP or any large business operating this loosely? $100,000,000,000! $100,000,000,000 every year!!! The SEC and the FBI would be investigation. The stockholders would be in revolt and demanding the firing of the Board of Directors, CEO and all top management. The stock prices would be in the tank. How do voters and taxpayers put up with this total dereliction of duty by our Congress??? How do we allow this kind of performance from out elected “representatives”?? Why do we!!!
