Article 1, Section 8, o of the United States Constitution states the US government shall” provide for the calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the Union, suppress insurrection and repel invasions”.

Article 4, section 4 of the US Constitution states that the “United States government guarantees to EVERY state in this union (Arizona included) a republican form of government, AND shall protect each of them from invasion”.

The operative ideas are the US Government is responsible for protecting all the states from invasion. It is mentioned twice in the Constitution so the Founding Fathers must have thought it was important. Isn’t hundreds of thousands of people entering this country every year illegally (against the law) an invasion??? Hasn’t the Government, for many years, been derelict in its duties to protect our borders and its citizens? Haven’t they, the Government, required the citizens/taxpayers to pay to support those who broke our laws?? Can’t we, as citizen/taxpayers, petition the Government to step up to their Constitutional responsibilities??
